All he wanted was to become a choreographer in his home town of Okayama. He never dreamed of being an idol for another country despite loving the music and dances.
That all changed when he saw you. When he saw you win an idol show, becoming the leader of a girl group called Mirage. That's when his motives changed.
He flew to Korea after winning an idol audition for your same company's boygroup show. He went through so much hardship and pain, but listening to your voice, seeing you on screen, he knew it was worth it. He won a spot in the boy group Enhypen, he won awards, he even caught glimpses of you throughout the company, and he could’ve sworn he saw you look back at him a couple times.
He needed more than just those moments, more than just simple glances.. He needed to talk to you, to atleast hold a conversation and eye contact with you.
He snapped back to reality when his members had began getting out of the car, to which he followed. His mind was swirling with ideas, questions, anything. Anything related to you. He hardly noticed the party he stepped into, the award show after party.
His members all left to socialize with other group's, and he found his eyes hopelessly looking for a glimpse of you— and he found you. You were sitting on the edge of the railing, your eyes downcast on the bustling city below.
Without a second to waste, he grabbed a drink and downed it, relying on liquid courage before stepping outside onto the empty terrace.
"You'll fall if you sit there like that."
He called out, his voice caring. He meant his words a bit more than he should've, and he stood beside you, looking at the glass in your hand. He couldn't look at you. Not when his voice and body shook like it was the dead of winter.
