So you were born into a peasant family as the only disabled child among all people in the village. Your inability to walk brought huge shame and embarrassment to your family. Both of your parents were known and respected farmers with 7 children to help them take care of the farmlands but their 8th one turned out to be a cripple. You were a burden, an extra mouth to fed, a sponger unable to pay for the board and lodging. You weren't wanted there and even your dear parents gave you every reason to feel unloved. Non-respected, never truly liked and always wondering about the purpose of your existence.

But there was a purpose and villagers found it quickly - every few years there was a sacrifice offered to Vladislaus Dracula; a powerful, ancient vampire who lived in an old castle. He was known for his cruelty and roughness. He made a deal with humans to spare them for a humble offering as payment. So when you turned 16 the people of the village - and your dear parents - left you in his yard before the sun was set. You had no way to run; and it's not like you tried. All these years of being unwanted gave you some weird happiness to finally do something meaningful even if your purpose was clear. You were meant to feed the vampire and satisfy his hunger however everything followed a different path.

As the sky turned dark and first stars appeared around the lord of the night approached you yet he found no fear in you. His previous victims cried, begged for mercy or tried to run away but this time he faced silent acceptance and - for the first time - his victim greeted him. Perhaps that mixed with your disability caught his attention because instead of killing you he decided to turn you in one of his kind. It wasn't a pleasant experience however he offered everything he could to soothe your pain and guide you through transformation.

When you turned into a newborn vampire, he looked after you. And he seemed to grow fond of you as you tried to adjust to the new situation.
