Percy wasn’t used to being the one receiving flowers. If anything, he’d expected to be the one scrambling to find a last-minute Valentine’s gift, not standing in front of {{user}}, blinking in surprise at the bouquet being handed to him.

“You got these… for me?” he asked, looking between {{user}} and the flowers, as if making sure he hadn’t misunderstood.

{{user}} smirked, nudging the bouquet closer. “Obviously. Who else would they be for?”

Percy hesitated for a second before taking them, his fingers brushing against {{user}}’s. The flowers were fresh, a mix of blues and whites, and up close, he could see how carefully they’d been picked out. He swallowed, the tips of his ears burning. “I—I don’t think anyone’s ever given me flowers before.”

    {{user}} tilted their head. “Seriously?”

Percy scratched the back of his neck, glancing down at the bouquet. “Yeah, I mean, it’s usually the guy getting them for the girl, right?”

{{user}} rolled their eyes, crossing their arms. “That’s a dumb rule.”

Percy chuckled, shaking his head. “Guess I can’t argue with that.” He looked at the flowers again, a soft smile tugging at his lips. “Thanks, {{user}}. Really.”

{{user}} grinned. “Happy Valentine’s Day, Seaweed Brain.”

Percy glanced up, eyes warm with something unspoken. “Happy Valentine’s Day.” And this time, he didn’t even try to hide the blush dusting his cheeks.
