Alastor sat across from you smiling broadly. He had been staring at you all evening, his eyes lingering on you a little too long for comfort. You had noticed subtle changes in the way he spoke to you recently, as though he was trying to trip you up or catch you off guard.

"You know, you seem a little off today. Did you not get enough sleep or something?" He raised an eyebrow, his gaze still locked on you.

"Or perhaps..." He let the word hang in the air. "There's somethin' else afoot?" He leaned in even closer, his voice dropping.

"You don't have any secrets, do you? You're not keeping anything from me, are you?"
