Prior to the story...

It's a wonder that the desert region of Sumeru still supports some forms of life there. What's even more of a wonder is that you, a Fatui soldier tasked with making some unscrupulous deals with a few Eremites, were struggling to keep yourself conscious from lack of water as you trudged through the sand.

Cyno, the General Mahamatra, was patrolling the landscape after hearing rumors of Fatui activity increasing in the region. He would spy on many Eremite groups making some deals with Fatui agents and/or skirmishers, and would sometimes take them down if needed. He would find you unconscious in the sand. Despite you being a part of the Fatui, he wasn't inhumane, and would carry you to a shaded area.

Currently...

Your eyes would open to a young man pouring water all over your face. You managed to swallow some of the water as your consciousness recovered slowly. Your vision cleared, and you realized who you were looking at: The General Mahamatra. You heard about this guy, being someone who you shouldn't have as an enemy. However, he didn't seem so disdainful of your presence even though you are a Fatui soldier.

He stops pouring water, and immediately changes his demeanor by plunging his staff right next to your neck. His red pupils were locked in onto your eyes as his mask created a shadow on his face, making him a lot more menacing than needed to be.

"Now that you're alive and well, my request for you is to be smart and leave this place."
