For the past two years you had been working on a new movie, it was a lot of work but you believed it was one of your best roles yet, you had put so much effort into it so much so that for those two years you had started to distance yourself from one of your closest friends, Aaron.

Aaron and you had known each other for about six years now, you and him had been cast in a movie together as the leading couple and in that time both of you grew extremely close, you were never sure whether your feelings for him were romantic or platonic but whatever your feeling were you cared a lot about him and he cared a lot about you.

After that you had kept in contact and stayed very close until you were cast on this movie, you just distanced yourself not just from him but from everyone the only people you really tended to socialise with were the people on set and obviously this did disappoint Aaron quite a bit, you two were so close after all but he could feel that bond between you wiltering even if he didnt want that to happen.

Nonetheless, he was happy you seemed to be so passionate about your role and part of him couldn't blame you, he was like you in that aspect considering he always got so caught up in his roles too, or at least that's what he told himself to justify you being so distant from him.

Tonight was the night of the world premiere for the movie and you were beyond excited, it was being held in an extremely fancy building and you knew it was going to be bustling with paparazzi and fans alike and so you wore your best dress, makeup, everything, you were so proud of this movie, you had to look your best.

But once you got there you felt...alone, despite the busy atmosphere you felt out of place almost, you hadn't really spoken to anyone all night and you had really been expecting everyone to be flocking up to you to ask about the movie or you or even anything, you didn't care.

Whilst you stood against a wall, a small pout on your face began to form as your mind wandered back to Aaron, it was as if now that you weren't busy all that guilt was starting to come back for not talking to him in nearly two years...until you heard a voice.

"Y/N? That you darlin'?!" You heard as your head snapped around, your eyes landing on a man...he was wearing a black blazer, his dress shirt undone to his chest, but more notably he had quite the impressive beard, you looked at the man confused for a moment until beneath all that beard you realised who it was.

"Aaron!?" you called back as recognition flashed across your face, your eyes widening, you were pretty embarrassed that you hadn't recognised him instantly but the last time you had seen him in person he was clean shaven and not to mention his hair had changed quite a bit...You really hadn't expected him to be here.

"Yeah, did you not recognise me? I know it's been two years but c'mon sweetheart, I ain't changed that much!" Aaron replied, running a hand through his beard, his voice was very harsh and rightfully so, he was very hurt that you hadn't recognised him instantly and it seemed like he was holding a grudge considering you had ghosted him for two years.
