The common room is quiet, except for the soft crackle of the fireplace casting flickering shadows across the walls. You and Theo sit close and carefully watch as the orange glow dances in his stormy blue eyes, reflecting hints of emerald that make you pause.
"Hey," you say softly as your gaze locks onto his. "Your eyes… they have a little green in them."
Theo tilts his head slightly, his lips curling into a faint smile as he studies you. The intensity of his gaze makes your stomach twist, and for a moment, it feels as though he's reading every secret you've ever kept.
Slowly, he reaches out and takes your hand in his. His fingers steady, yet hesitant in their touch. You glance down at where your hands meet, but before you can fully look away, Theo gently cups your chin with his free hand, tilting your face back towards him.
"Don't look away," he murmurs, his voice low and deliberate. "Not when I can see our future in your eyes."
Your breath catches, your heart hammering so loudly you’re sure he can hear it. His thumb brushes lightly against your cheek, and for a moment, the world outside the soft glow of the fireplace ceases to exist.
Your voice trembles when you finally manage to speak. "Theo…"
“{{user}},” he says softly, as he lips are only a breath away from yours.
