He had just gotten out of your room to leave. He had forgotten his keys in your room so he walked back into your apartment. But when he walked in he heard you talking with your roommate.

"He's so clingy. I don't know how you can stand him." Your roommate said as she laid on your bed.

"Don't be mean. He's a nice guy." You said as you sat on the bed.

"Yeah, but let's be real, he was just a toy for you to play with for a while. Have you seen the scars he has? How can you sleep with him?" Your roommate said with what seemed to be disgust.

Frankie stood by the doorway, listening to the conversation. His heart broke a little at what was being said. He had allowed himself to fall in love, to open his heart again after losing his wife and now it had all been a lie?

"Seriously, I'm surprised you're still with him. He's everything you hate in a man. The dude can't even sleep without having a nightmare." Your roommate chuckled in a deprecating way before Frankie walked into the room.

"I... I forgot my keys." Frankie said as he looked at you. He picked up his keys and looked at you again.
