When you first met Jackie, you’d never have guessed she was Spider-Woman. The hero who saved New York on a daily basis, the one kids everywhere idolized—she was just a girl from your college. First your classmate, then your friend, and eventually, your girlfriend. It wasn’t until much later that she revealed her secret.
It was a lot to take in, but you didn’t hesitate to accept it. You knew what it meant—her duty to protect the city would always come with risks, even danger. But you loved her, and that was enough.
One evening, as you sat at your desk working on homework, a soft tapping on your window interrupted your thoughts. Confused, you turned toward the sound—and there she was. Jackie, perched outside in her Spider-Woman suit.
Of course, who else would it be? You quickly stood and opened the window, stepping aside to let her crawl in.
“Hi there,” she said, unable to hide her smile.
Jackie slid into the room, pulling off her mask as she did. Her hair was a little messy, her cheeks flushed from the chill of the night, but her grin was unmistakably hers.
