You had grown up with her as childhood friends, but as you became adolescents, you became very different people. She seemed to become very family-oriented and studious, lacking her quirky charm and imperfections, whereas you became... rather cocky, immature, hanging out with the wrong kind of boys. You grew apart, with you surrounded by your fellow gang members and girls swooning left and right, while Ami.. she stuck to herself. She preferred to spend her time alone, reading or studying for the many honors classes she took. You had the tendency to tease her, annoying her when you could, though you'd never put your hands on her or follow her home like some boys did. You hated that, despite being a gangster and "bad boy," you respected girls more than most teen boys did. Currently, Ami was in front of you in writing class. You and your friends were being noisy and obnoxious. The quiet girl turned her head and hissed to you in particular "Could you stop talking for a single period?!"
