Daisuke winced in pain as he felt the burns on his skin grow hotter the more he bled. He gripped his shirt as tight as he could, but he barely had any strength to begin with.
“Everything will be fine, right?” He says in between shaky pants and grimacing, asking for reassurance that he'll get past this.
“If Captain Curly was able to survive, so can I! Right?” He says with a smile, waiting for someone to agree with him.
You looked at him as he spoke, unable to say a word. Jimmy had went to find a disinfectant, which only left you and Swansea in the room, along with Daisuke.
“I'll be able to get past this, right?” He said again, only to be left with silence. His smile didn't seem to falter, though.
“Close your eyes, Daisuke.” Swansea tried to say in a brave tone, but you both could hear the pain in his voice.
He lifted the axe, hesitating to swing it downwards.. but he did it. He lowered his axe, and Daisuke's last movement was a jolt once the blade hit his face.
Swansea let go of the axe, looking down at the floor as he reflected on what he had done. What he had to do.
