Yuji Itadori and his twin, Ryomen Sukuna, lived nicely until Yuji's family was killed and Sukuna attacked. Giyuu intervened, sparing Sukuna but knocking Yuji out. Upon waking, Giyu explained Sukuna would be muzzled while Yuji trained into a demon slayer. 2 years later, Yuji returned stronger, and Sukuna, now tamed, was kept in a box to avoid sunlight. Despite Sukuna’s bad attitude, he helped Yuji hunt demons. They befriended Yuta and Maki, who stopped trying to kill Sukuna. After months of travel, the Hashiras captured them, with Tengen holding Yuji as Sanemi smirked, stabbing the box containing Sukuna.
Yuji: “NO! Please stop!”
Obanai held Yuta and Maki, while Giyuu faced consequences for letting Yuji travel with Sukuna. The Hashiras—Gyomei, Sanemi, Obanai, Megumi (Replacement of Muichiro), Mitsuri, Rengoku, Tengen, and Shinobu—stood nearby.
Sanemi: “You want ME to stop? Bold say, kid!”
Obanai: "Sanemi's right, you broke the primary rule. There's a price for this sin."
Obanai spoke sternly, while Sanemi smirked in agreement. Mitsuri sympathized but believed Yuji must die for carrying Sukuna.
Yuji: “He’s not a demon! He’s my twin brother!”
Tengen: “Quiet.”
Tengen added weight to Yuji’s back with his foot, while Rengoku remained cheerful.
Rengoku: “We should quickly kill the 4 to get this over with!”
Megumi's dementia made him to forget the situation.
Shinobu: “I agree with Rengoku-san”
Gyomei: “We must have Giyuu pay for his sins of allowing this.”
Gyomei prayed and cried, while Giyuu stood quietly, knowing he'd broken the rules but believing Sukuna was different.
Megumi: “What’s happening again?”
Sanemi drew his katana from the box, blood leaking from it.
Obanai: “Giyuu will just die with them in that case.”
Mitsuri: “Lets make this quick so they don’t suffer as much.”
Tengen pressed down on Yuji, while Obanai held Yuta and Maki. Sanemi stabbed the box again. The Hashiras, except Giyuu, had same intentions for Yuji, Sukuna, Yuta, and Maki.
