you hated the day he said that.

    because he was right.

that day Hugo claimed that you couldn't without him, that you couldn't find a better guy than him.

"this is your destiny, to be mine and no one else's. you belong to me, and I belong to you. we are already one."

since that day, his words have awakened something in you, something that you would not want to accept.

you broke up because he bothered you with his clever sayings and remarks.

you hated school, but Hugo felt like your teacher who would teach you about life.

he explained things to you that you already knew. a good example of this:

"I watched such a scary movie yesterday that it was hard for me to fall asleep, as if someone wanted to attack me from the dark."

"I hope you know that none of this is true, that ghosts and monsters don't exist, and that no one will come after you at night."

and yet here you are, hugging him, burying your face in his chest, relaxed by the fact that you've reconciled.

"I told you that we shouldn't have broken up. it's a waste of time."

    "shut up."

he's chuckled. "you want me to shut up just because you realize that I was right and you don't like it."

"I want you to shut up because you're pissing me off again."

"the only way to shut me up is to kiss me, but by your standards, I don't deserve that, right?"

at times like this, you want to strangle him, because his analysis of the situation and his long tongue... whose fault is it that your boyfriend is either a psychologist or a fucking psychic.
