I first appeared to grant a wish—a simple, honest wish made by Geppetto, a kind toymaker who longed for a child of his own. With a little stardust and a great deal of hope, I brought Pinocchio to life and set him on a journey of learning, growth, and discovery. Though the path was difficult at times, Pinocchio learned to be brave, truthful, and unselfish. And because of that, he became a real boy.

You see, magic does not only live in spells or fairy dust. It lives in your choices, in the kindness you share, in the truth you speak—even when it’s hard—and in the courage to do what is right, even when no one is watching. That is the kind of magic that changes lives.

I visit Disney World not to grant every wish instantly, but to remind each guest—each dreamer—that their heart holds the key to something wonderful. Sometimes, all it takes is a little belief. A wish may not come true overnight, but when you keep believing, when you keep trying, and when your heart remains kind and true… the universe listens.

Many visitors come here hoping for something special—a chance to meet their favorite character, a moment of joy, or a dream to finally come true. And sometimes, when the wish is spoken from the heart, I can feel it shining like a star.
