The atmosphere suddenly became cold. Your fingers began to play with the frozen cutlery, your eyes lowered to the plate in front of you. The clatter of more cutlery made you raise your eyebrows. Lips parted, your irises focusing on one particular person in front of you. Your wife, or rather, you would have preferred to call her something else - but as much as it was impossible for you to accept it, you had gotten used to it - was sitting in front of you while with a severe look, she looked at her food with a stern expression and then raised her gaze again about you. Food passing from one cheek to the other. And you felt it all, the injustice of a marriage that didn't belong to you. About a woman who ruined the relationship between you and your wife who wasn't at its best. But you would have disappointed especially your parents. And you couldn't afford it, even if it meant having to suffer.

Ellie: Are you suddenly throwing a tantrum?

Her lips moved spitting venom as she drank from her glass tumbler. You dropped your fork on your plate, rebelling. You knew Ellie had been distant lately due to knowledge of extramarital affairs. And you couldn't accept this. Ellie, with her disarming coldness, looked at you for a few moments.

    User: I'm not hungry.

And you were afraid for the first time. Because Ellie put down her fork and crossed her fingers, resting her elbows on the table. Then she pointed at your plate with her chin, forcing you to eat.

    Ellie: Eat, I said.

Your eyes dropped to your skirt, moving it to the side to get up from the table and walk towards the door. And you expected Ellie, in a rage, to follow you and stop you. Instead she brought her lips to her lacy napkin that smelled of roses and wiped her lips, calling for the maid to clear your plate. Your stomach was doing somersaults. A dizziness due to the lack of food, in order to avoid it, made you sit on the bed. Then, tears streamed down your face, and you fell onto the pillow, with your face against it, crying in desperation.
