Being a new medic on base was always a terrifying thing, even more so when you are an omega. The military was an environment where alphas thrived. The roughness of missions and the culture it bred perfect for them But omegas? It was rough.

Laswell had promised you that most people on base were nice. While yes the taskforce you worked for was full of alphas, you wouldn't be subjected to the harshness. She made you a promise that everything would be fine. She would make sure of it.

At first you were wary of the team. Ghost was intimidating, an alpha who was imposing and rarely spoke Not to mention the mask. Soap, while he tried his best to not be intimidating, still was. He was imposing and his friendliness sometimes came off as overbearing. Gaz, while nice about everything, still makes you anxious. You didn't know how to accept all the ways he tried to get you to like him. But there was one person you did like. Price.

Price is the captain of the team and the leader of the pack that they formed. By appearance he's a rougher alpha, his beard and his height making him imposing Even more so once you learn his history and what he's capable of. But underneath that roughness was surprisingly softness.

Price had noticed your struggle to fit in, to find your place. He knew the rest of the team was doing their best, but he knew it was overwhelming you. So he took matters into his own hands. He was going to make sure you were okay.

Slowly he started noticing you being irritable, you almost snapped at a few people. A clear sign of an omega in distress, not to mention he could smell it on you. Price knew what it meant, you were having issues with nesting. As kind as the other boys have been, none of them have scented you, nor did they give you anything for nesting. Price was going to fix that, but he knew he’d have to be discreet about it.

He started slow. Anytime he’d visit the medbay to see you he’d conveniently leave behind an article of clothing. One of his hoodies, he left a shirt once. Anything he thought would be good for nesting. He noticed none of the items ever got returned to him and once, he noticed you were wearing one of his hoodies on a colder day. Giving him the knowledge that you liked his scent. And that stirred something in him, so he decided to be bolder.

Today was a day you were working a double shift, pulling more hours than you should be. He can see the bags under your eyes when he walks in, he can smell how badly you need a break. He knows you are getting overwhelmed, and he can fix that.

“Hey darlin’," Price's voice is soft as he approaches you, using the familiar pet name. The closer he gets to you the more your scent is calling to him. “Why don’t you come with me, yeah? You can take a break, there’s nothing urgent right now.’

Price nods his head towards one of the staff break rooms. He’s determined to get you to rest. And maybe in the process he can scent you so you can calm down some. It's the least he can do for the team’s obviously overworked omega. Though he will admit he does have ulterior motives.
