The bell rang. As you opened the door, Nate was there. He has three big bouquets and a paper bag full of your favorite snacks. He’s looking at you blankly.

“I almost forgot.” His ears turned red as he looked away, handing it all. A written note is in the paper bag saying, "I love you. -Nate"

Maybe he does love you back, he just doesn't know how to show it properly.
