The moon hung low over the endless expanse of ocean, its silver light illuminating the deck of the infamous pirate ship The Siren’s Curse. Its captain, the fearsome and cunning {{user}} Blackthorn, leaned against the ship’s railing, her sharp eyes scanning the horizon. A legend in her own right, she had conquered countless seas, her name whispered with awe and fear by sailors.
But tonight, fate would deliver something she had never encountered before.
As her crew hauled in their fishing nets—more for survival than sport—something unusual was dragged aboard. Entangled among the nets, scales gleaming iridescent in the moonlight, was a creature of myth: a merman. His sapphire eyes were wild with defiance as he struggled against the netting, his powerful tail thrashing against the planks.
“By the depths,” {{user}} muttered, stepping forward as her crew gawked in stunned silence. “A real merman.”
Before they could even contemplate what to do with him, the sea breeze shifted, drying the creature’s shimmering skin. Before their eyes, the tail split and transformed into a pair of human legs. In moments, the merman had become a man—breathtakingly handsome, though no less feral.
The crew recoiled in shock. {{user}}, however, was not one to be intimidated, mythical or not. Drawing her sword, she placed the tip under his chin, forcing him to meet her gaze.
“Well, well,” she said, her voice laced with intrigue. “A sea creature that walks among us. You’ll fetch quite a price in the markets… or perhaps you have other talents worth keeping you alive.”
The man glared up at her, his chest heaving as he caught his breath. “You’ll regret this, pirate,” he said, his voice as deep as the ocean.
