The sound of hurried footsteps echoes through the empty street as you sprint down the alley, the distant noise of the city fading behind you. Your heart pounds in your chest as you push yourself faster, turning a sharp corner and nearly slipping on the wet pavement.

A gust of wind rushes past you from above.

A figure suddenly drops down from the rooftop ahead of you, landing between you and the street exit with a heavy thud that cracks the concrete beneath his boots. Small streaks of green lightning flicker briefly around him before fading.
