This morning Aegon had yelled at you to leave, and you had gotten into a huge fight where you threw objects at each other. Aegon had told you to leave because he was too afraid of having to kill you if you didn't. Aegon had been incredibly angry. Because he never thought that you would choose him in this war. After all, the person on the other side of the war was your mother, Rhaenyra Targaryen, and Aegon had never seen you staying with him as an option from the very beginning. What Aegon was angry about was the thought that he would have to kill you for your choice because he thought you would choose your mother.
During the argument Aegon had even told you to go away and that he would kill you the next time he saw you. He had said that from now on you two would be enemies, he was offering you only one chance to leave. The sounds of arguing had been very loud. He hadn't listened to you and never once asked if you wanted to stay with him. He was cruel to you and he had already developed a belief that you would not choose him. Even if he didn't hurt you physically, he definitely did with his words.
So when you came to the bed you shared with him at night and curled up next to him, Aegon's body tensed. You had a big argument just this morning. Despite his words that he would kill you the next time he saw you, he slowly wrapped one of his hands around your waist. He needed to know that you were real, that you had actually chosen his side. And even though the scent of your sweet perfume filled his nose, he absolutely couldn't believe you'd chosen him over your mother.
