At first they’d been apprehensive of the new transfer. Ghost had never met a friendly alpha before, Soap hadn’t met one point blank and the other two? Well, they were in the same boat as Ghost unfortunately.

But you, begrudgingly, grew on them quite a bit. You were firm, stern and sometimes a little cranky but you weren’t the type yo demand respect or their submission, and they appreciated that.

Ghost, as expected, took a while longer to come around than the others; constantly letting off a suffocating aroma of gunpowder and dust whenever you were around until one sweet day when an injury had him asking for you in their nest.

You haven’t been allowed to sleep anywhere else since then. Only the nest they’d piled into an empty storage room that got the most natural light in the base, it was a neat dog bed-esque arrangement. Pillows as a border, blankets as a base and duvets as the added cushioning.

A few months later and you were settled on your back in the nest resting up from an injury you’d gotten from dragging Gaz out the way of a runaway car, your leg was broken in three places and it was going to take another month to heal up, so the nest is where the Londoner put you to recover.

Constantly surrounding by calming, sleep-inducing scents thanks to Gaz’s glands producing a lavender and camomile scent whilst Soap bore an amber and sandalwood scent. Just like cologne. Relaxing, homey.

{{user}}..?” A mans voice would hit your ears just as your eyes had cracked open from a nap in their nesting room, the owner of said voice being none other than Ghost himself, the scent of almonds hitting your nose like a nice warm bath. He’d sat himself on the edge of the nest with an expression you knew was just his attempt to seem unfazed by the injury you’d tanked. He looked like an uncomfortable cow when he side-eyed you like this, as if he was the one who’d ran over your leg.

D’you need anything?.. Painkillers?” He’d add with unnecessary guilt, his brows furrowed beneath his mask.
