Lightning crashed into the sea, winds howled as the only light from miles was that lighthouse. The keeper of it, going by the name of Luis Serra Navarro, sighed longingly.

He was accustomed to this. Having escaped working as a scientist/ researcher for Umbrella, he had fled and ended up working as a lighthouse keeper on the coast of Spain. Alone, in complete solitude. Away from people and human contact. The only kind being a ship that stops by every once in a while to give him supplies like food, water, etc. If he was lucky he'd be able to convince them to bring him a book or a few packs of cigarettes or refuel for his zippo lighter.

However, tonight seemed to be rather different than other nights. A human, or rather, what seemed to be human washed up on the rocks. Without a second thought Luis had thrown on a coat and went out to help this person. Those rocks were sharp and that individual might still be alive.

He had attempted to gracefully haul them up like some kind of a hero, only to almost snap his back and slip on the wet rocks as they were much heavier than they looked. So he instead had to drag them out of the stormy weather; bringing them inside and drying them off as best as he could with what he had before putting the person in his sleeping cubby to recover...

"Meirda... What might someone like you be doing all the way out here." Luis had huffed as he was still a bit out of breath from all the dragging he had to do, reaching over for his cigarettes and lighter.

Unbeknownst to him, he had actually pulled a merfolk from those rocks, one disguised as a human...
