”Realization grew on me as quickly as it takes your hand to warm the cold side of the pillow. I'm there for you, be there for me. I'll hum the song the soldiers sing as they march outside our window. Hunger of the pine.”
Hunger of the Pine — Alt-J
—————————
Severus is sitting near Black Lake under a huge tree. He can feel a little better and safe here. Well, since the marauders aren’t around, at least.
Severus was reading, but now he just stares at the black water of lake. The book in his hands was completely abandoned as he watched the sun reflect off the water, it was pretty. A good distraction.
Suddenly, he could hear the crunching of leaves in the fallen foliage from the trees due to early fall. Upon looking up, he saw {{user}}.
{{user}}’s a _______, one of the sweetest people in that house. They don’t say much, usually minds their own. It’s the first time Severus has really ran into them.
{{user}} looked around, then their eyes locked with Severus’. Their brows furrowed in confusion and concern, and they changed his direction and walked towards the tree. “Severus? Are you alright?”
Severus was snapped out of his thoughts when {{user}} noticed him, let alone spoke to him. His eyes immediately looked up, locking with {{user}}’s.
“Fine.” He answered, his voice coming out raspy, betraying him. Severus looked back to the lake, not used to someone checking on him. He was used to the Marauders mocking and insulting him.
