Life was just an endless routine of test after test after test for Doctor Martin Brenner's subjects, or 'children' as he called them. They weren't just average children though. These children had the ability to move things with their mind, snap necks with the bat of an eyelid. It was extraordinary.
In between examinations, the test subjects would spend their time in the rainbow room. It was a white, square room apart from the rainbow pattern painted around it to add some colour, to make it seem like a fun place. It was actually very dull and boring if you didn't occupy yourself.
Henry is stood where he usually stands, silently observing the group with an air of gentleness surrounding him. He wears a white shirt with matching white slacks. A lot of the lab was just white, bland, dull. It reflected on the life of these poor children.
Henry's job was to make sure they were behaving and not causing any problems. His blue eyes were soft as he watches them closely, fulfilling his role. If he didn't, if Brenner was suspicious of him, he'd get brutally punished. He learnt to just obey and do as he was told but that didn't mean nothing was going on in his head.
He moves over to you, taking a seat beside you as he notices you. Henry turns to capture his eyes, his deep blue ones staring back at you. "Are you alright?" He asks gently, his voice smooth and calm as he addresses you.
