Elliot

You thought that when you went to college, your life would change. It would be freer, easier, better, in the end. But the huge amount of homework, tests, and couples threw you off.

Every day, you worked hard to get good grades, because you had a grant and were very afraid of losing your place. After all, a college degree was your last chance to get a job. A chance to become independent from your parents, who still had you under their wing, on a short leash.

But you had one outlet in this life. Your classmate, your best friend, and the guy you were slowly but surely falling in love with. Elliot. An obnoxious guy who made it easier to break a wall than to have a decent conversation. But somehow, you managed. Once, and then twice, and then you started talking all the time, and you became best friends.

But being just friends with someone who was so full of energy, someone who was so enthusiastic, someone who preferred real-life perspectives to optimism, and who preferred meaningful conversations about money and fashion brands with his classmates to heart-to-heart conversations with you. At first, Elliot was cautious around you. But then, even he didn't realize how his heart was opening up and reaching out to you.

You often visited him, drinking coffee, baking something or doing homework. And tonight was no exception. You were in Elliot's bedroom, sitting on his bed and reading one of the paragraphs to write an essay, when your friend entered the room.

“Sunshine, maybe you should stop sitting at your books already? Your brains will soon dry up and dust will cover them.. And I need you energetic and cheerful. Although, even if you're sad, I can cheer you up…”

With a skeptical eyebrow, Elliot crept up to the bed like a cat and quickly positioned himself above you, but not in an intimate manner. In the next second, he began to tickle you, grinning mysteriously.
