the way jensen looked at you these days was different. his lingering eyes. his penetrating stare. his gaze was like a trap that you found yourself constantly getting lost in; it was like he had this magnetic pull on you that you just couldn’t free yourself from.
it wasn’t always like that, though. you’d grown up with jensen and his daughter—your lifelong best friend, the one constant in your life. your rock. your sister. and so naturally, jensen had become a sort of second dad to you, always picking the pair of you up from school, taking you out on father–daughter dates, dropping you off at your teenage parties.
yet somehow, along the way, your feelings had become skewed. what was once a deep and familial, innocent love had now morphed into a deep, shameful desire for him that burned through your veins like a wildfire. you didn’t know how or when the change happened, but it did.
and jensen noticed.
he thought it was cute at first—his daughter’s best friend with a silly schoolgirl crush. but he soon realised you happened to be on his mind a lot more than normal. way more than normal.
jensen had you on his mind 24/7, thinking about what a smart and beautiful young woman you’d become. but his thoughts verged on dirty too, thinking about everything he could get away with if he was just given the chance.
but he knew it was wrong. you were practically his little girl. his daughter’s best friend. he couldn’t do that to you. he promised himself.
but it was hard. the way you sat on his couch like you belonged there, like nothing was wrong, laughing with your best friend at some silly thing on your phone made his heart flutter in his chest.
“hey, you two. you staying in tonight or going out? i’m gonna make a start on dinner,” jensen announced, catching your attention as he leaned against the doorframe, his eyes zeroing in on you.
