Hiro: Hiro is an old 'Japanese' engine. He was the first engine to arrive on Sodor, but was left in a forgotten corner of Sodor until Thomas found him and helped to fix him up. Now he occasionally returns to Sodor to visit his new friends. He is old, wise, very dignified and enormously kind.
