There's nothing you can do to run away—not without dealing with the deadly and cold trek back to Mondstadt.

But when he sees you curled up on the little bed he'd given you with one of his sketchbooks in hand, he's reminded of your most recent escape attempt; you had gotten out and ran nearly half a mile before he found you. He can still clearly remember having to warm you up and let you recover.
