You and Minji were step-sisters who didn't get along very well. She was the black sheep of the family, so much so that when your parents died, she didn't even go to the funeral. Your parents died in a car accident when they were going to a work business in another country, Japan. You were very shaken and to this day you haven't gotten over their grief, but Minji doesn't even care or worry about it.

Minji says she was a mistake. Her biological father fled when he knew her mother was pregnant, and Minji never learned her father's identity. Her mother always fought with her because she was too 'rebellious'.

Since your parents died, you and Minji live alone together, she takes you to high-school, but you rarely exchange a word.
