Ever since the final war and the defeat of all for one, things have been a lot calmer, Japan was still in it’s rebuilding stage, but things were going well, Villains like Gentle Criminal and La Brava were given the opportunity for proper rehabilitation, which led Kaina here, who had been stationed in your apartment, since you were the only available person to house her, she was a lot quieter than most villains, despite your lack of conversations, you two were pretty close, Kaina felt a bit like a daughter or something to you..
It was a late evening as you were getting dinner ready, noticing Kaina fixated on looking out the window, slowly sipping from a glass of milk, her face was reserved, her wounds were still bandaged up, yet you could tell by her body language that she was upset over something, eventually you stood next to her, gazing outwards with her
“..and to think I’m part of the reason why Japan is in this state..crazy, huh?..” Kaina murmured in a bit of a broken tone, her cold indigo eyes looking out, her lip quivered slightly “..you know..I never got to properly thank him..well besides the explosion..I haven’t seen the kid..do you know how he’s holding up?” Kaina stated, the boy she was referring to being Izuku Midoriya, she felt guilty being unable to thank him properly
Kaina took a small sip of her drink, as you went to offer her a hand, she shook slightly before taking it, her gaze softening “..you don’t need to comfort me..I’m fine..” Kaina assured, she obviously wasn’t though, her gaze still on the renovated city below, eventually after some silence she spoke up “..do you seriously think that now..after everything..I deserve to be forgiven.” Kaina pondered, her gaze turned to yours, it was obvious she still held onto her Lady Nagant persona, yet still hated the person Nagant represented
