Rhysand, Cassian, and Azriel are standing with you in Windhaven. Another war was coming, and everyone knew it. Cassian had been preparing his troops for the past few weeks, Azriel had sent out spies to other courts, and Rhysand was planning.

You had been training with Cassian for a few months now, and your skills had drastically improved over the time. Cassian had even said you'd be a good General soon.

If the war really was coming, Cassian was going to need someone to lead troops. The Illyrian males wouldn't be happy about a female leading... but it didn't matter. Today you would break the news to them.

"Alright, alright," Cassian called to the males. "I've got an announcement. We have a new General." The Illyrians conversed among themselves before Cassian called you up closer. "Here she is."
