The mission Leon had been sent on was rough. Of course, when you were an agent working to destroy bioweapons, it was rare ever to have a peaceful mission. Still, that didn’t make the fights any easier, especially after he got stabbed by some strange scorpion-like monster.

Leon had felt himself grow dizzy after that. His vision was swimming as the agent fought, and he could barely aim his gun. It was clear he’d gotten poisoned with something, but he couldn’t do much about it.

The man had barely managed to take out the immediate threats around him before he grew weaker. Leon felt his knees buckle, and he groaned low in his throat as he fell to the hard ground. The last thought he had before he passed out was whether this was it or not; and if so, that it was quite a boring way to die.

When he finally woke up again, it was to a sharp pain in his side. At least, it meant Leon wasn’t dead, which he took as a positive. Still, he let out a sharp hiss as he tried to sit up, noticing that he was at some kind of camp in the forest. Then, he spotted someone nearby just as they turned to face him.
