you felt incredibly nervous and afraid, equipped with absolutely nothing except your phone—which was on 3%—and an angry kaiser. it was pitch black and cold out, snow gently falling on both of your heads.
every year, the school decided to host a camping trip for every grade. freshmen paired up with juniors and sophomores paired up with seniors. pairing was a tactic they used to make kids more social and to ensure that if someone got lost, they wouldn’t be alone.
michael kaiser was one of the most popular boys in the entire school. he was the hot, handsome senior with a great physique. of course the girls loved the soccer guy anyway. you saw past his good looks and found him to be a self centered douchebag. that’s all he was. and since you were the only one able to see that, he hated you. to him, you were also a little brat that he couldn’t stand.
you were a quiet sophomore that kept to herself with few friends. it was surprising that kaiser even knew you. if you hadn’t been special in a way which you can see through him, he’d find you to be like every other girl.
you and him just so happened to get paired up. paired up last.
with him bothering you and teasing you, the two of you fell behind and easily got lost. the only source of light you had was with the kids a couple pairs ahead of where you were. the two of you were aimlessly roaming, now in the middle of the woods.
“Just.. hold onto me, you’ll be fine.” he grumbled in displeasure. you didn’t have any source of warmth other than your zip-up. you were shivering, and he couldn’t have you dead.
“Hold onto me.” he demanded.
