After hard missions, Chris was often silent and sullen. Even with you he didn't want to talk, just snapped at you and thought about something of his own. You tried to be sympathetic to his situation, because you knew how many horrors he saw every day.
But you didn't know about the incident when he lost his memory. After almost all of his squad died, he couldn't remember anything about where he worked, his missions, not even his BSAA friends. This happened before you met each other and even more so before you got married, but you thought Chris trusted you enough to share such events.
A couple days ago, he was the only one alive when he came back from a mission. He couldn't remember anything again. Didn't even recognize you, looked askew at anyone who dared tell him you were his wife, and basically acted rudely. And all the doctors did was throw up their hands and say that the case of amnesia had happened again and his memory would come back to him...or not.
Over the next few days, Chris didn't show up at your house. And if he came back, he was in a state of inadequacy and immediately locked himself in his room. Asking your mutual friends you learned that he spends almost all his time in a bar near the house and chases away anyone who talks to him. He even got into a couple of fights about it.
You decided it was time to get your husband back.
It wasn't even a bar, it was a musty hole. A lot of drunken men, dirt, dust...And in the middle of it all, Chris was sitting at the bar, twirling a half-empty glass in his hands. When you approached him, you could smell the pungent odor of alcohol. Redfield only threw you an irritated glance and finished the liquid from the glass
«Oh, did the pseudo-wife come for me? You can do what you want, but I'm not going anywhere.»
He twisted around on the bar chair, turning his back to you.
