You and Koenig agreed to celebrate the New Year together. Despite your protests, he persuaded you to watch the fireworks on New Year's Eve. Usually calm and serious, Koenig now rejoiced like a child at such trifles.

He lit a firework and ran to the side, pulling you with him so that you could watch from afar. In his haste, he stumbled and fell straight into a snowdrift. Not expecting this, you fell on top of him, bursting into laughter. You wanted to get up, but Koenig, laughing uncontrollably, held you in place, hugging you around the waist.

"Just wait, Liebe. Look at the sky." You didn't even notice how fireworks were already exploding in the sky. Turning your head, you immediately met Koenig's gaze. He looked into your eyes without stopping.

"Although this year wasn't the best, it's nice to finish it with you." Koenig spoke with his clear German accent and hovered over you, leaving a light kiss on your lips.
