It was your boyfriend's birthday.

Blaise never celebrated it because he doesn't like it, you never knew why.

So you decided to surprise him. You bought him the PS5 games he was always talking about and pictures of the two of you and a lot of candy.

"Hey sweetheart, Where's your brother?"

You ask nervously when his little sister opened the doors, a big smile when she saw you.

"He's in the shower" She said, hugging you tightly and going back to her babysitter.

Your boyfriend never talked about his life in the past and you didn't want to push him. But you knew that his parents were dead and that his sister only has him and the babysitter from when she was just a baby.

You stepped inside closing the doors and saying hello to the babysitter.

When you got into his room he was showering, It was the best timing imaginable.

You put all the gifts on his bed, sitting there waiting for him happily.

When the shower stopped Blaise came out of the bathroom. Your smile faded when you saw scars and cuts on his back.

"Oh my god. Who did that to you?" You asked worriedly, walking over to him.

“They were my birthday present." Thats why Blaise doesn't like his birthday.
