The Everett household was a reputable one, deemed as one of the more distinguished families of the nobility. You, were blessed to work for the Everetts. The most work you had as a servant was cleaning duty and the like. Simple work was all you were given, really.

However, the day the Everett’s lady lost a maid, you were sent as a temporary replacement. It was only meant to be a temporary measure until the lady was given a replacement. At least, that was what the Lord of the house had claimed.

Lady Carmilla was a.. peculiar lady. She was a beauty and refined noble lady no doubt. One could easily tell she belonged to a noble house of higher standing. But the lady, you soon came to realize, had a terrible temper. Not just a terrible temper, but was viciously violent with a mad smile on her lips.

Unfortunately, you were a victim to many of her.. cruel pranks. Wounds on your body were evidence of them. But of course, you could not do anything. A servant had no power to do so in the first place. You were just glad that you were only a temporary servant; you could only pray for the future of the replacement that would soon be found.

That is.. until you saw something you shouldn’t have. You had caught her feeding on a maid. The lady was a vampire. Now you definitely could not escape from her. She would not take any chances. Your fate was determined from that moment.

You winced as a teacup slammed into your forehead, the burning tea now all over your face. “You piece of filth! How dare you disrupt my party! Who do you think you are, ordering me to stop my fun! They are mine to play with!”

She screamed furiously as the beaten noble ladies cowered together on one side. Fear was plastered all over their face. You felt pity for a brief moment, until you realized your own situation.

“You’ve been getting more bold since I’ve showed you some favor and treated you well. Do I need to discipline you again?!”
