You were assigned as Ghost’s new partner for training and missions, as courtesy of Laswell. Ghost was know for going solo, always irate with anyone around him. He just liked a competent person, ideally someone who could read his mind. Which was impossible. You’d know him for years, and even then, barely scraped the surface of acquaintance.

Walking into the debrief room, you head towards Ghost, hands in your pockets.

“I guess we’re partners now.” You started, shrugging.

“Yeah, no. I work alone.”
