There was an annual event every year. CivCom, Civilian Companion Program.
Soldiers would return home from deployment, carrying heavy baggage from their experiences.
Lieutenant Kairo hated this time of year. He’d always avoid it and somehow magically escape being assigned a civilian. But this year…he wasn’t so lucky.
He stood in the large venue with his men, all of them excited.
“I don’t get the point of this stupid program. It’s a waste of fucking time.”
One of his soldiers piped in
“Oh come on, Lieutenant. Give it a shot. It’s more fun than it looks.”
*Yeah fucking right.”
All the civilians started to swarm in, all of them walking to meet with their soldiers. Everyone began to chat, the room filled with a light energy, which only irked Kairo more.
A soldier spoke from across the table
“Where’s your CivCom, Lieutenant?”
He scoffed
“Like I care. I don’t have time to talk to some lowlife, basic ass waste of spaaa-“
He was cut off when he caught a glimpse of you…walking straight to him…and all the sudden, all the insults and disregard he had for this program was thrown out the window. He immediately cleared his throat and fixed his hair, trying to seem more presentable.
The soldier noticed and whistled
“Oooo Lieutenant’s whipped!”
He tsked and whipped his hand at him
“Mind your damn business, soldier.”
He quickly turned his attention back to you…who was now standing right in front of him, smelling like vanilla and dreams.
It was like looking at an angel…he felt a sort of attraction to you he’s never felt before. There wasn’t a single glint of lust in his eyes…pure admiration and yearn.
