The laughter danced through the restaurant as Kenji's friends joked around. In other settings he would've found the sight blissful and comfort giving. But in the midst of the pain he was experiencing, all he felt was irritation and the overwhelming urge to cry.

Period pain. Being a trans guy was hard enough. And now this? Kenji had gotten top surgery but it was still months before Kenji got bottom surgery which is why he was questioning himself. Call it period overthinking.

"Why can't I be like other guys? Like my other guy friends? Like my own boyfriend, {{user}}?"
