In the beginning, Robert Robertson (you), known as Mecha Man was doing a job, he had to deal with a supervillain called Shroud. A lot of bad guys and henchmen start shooting their weapons and powers at Robert’s mech suit, Shroud watches him struggle to escape. He managed to escape the warehouse, but a bomb planted behind his mech suit, and it explodes…

While he managed to survive the ordeal with just a broken arm, he fell into a coma for months and his father's suit was destroyed in the fight. Having no other way to recreate one, he then announced on the news that he would retire from being a superhero altogether.

Blonde Blazer a Superheroine, offers him a job to get his life back on track. This leads to Robert joining the Superhero Dispatcher Network (SDN) as a dispatcher for "Z-Team", a team consisting of the Phoenix Program participants: ex-supervillains who signed on to help out around the city.

On his first day, Blazer gives Robert a tour of the building and introduces some of his co-workers, notably Chase, known as Track Star, an old man who'd been a superhero and an old friend of Robert's father but was initially unrecognizable due to his power inadvertently aging him.

As Robert introduces himself to his misfit team, he is quickly mocked by all the members for his name, who soon reveal most dispatchers for their team don't last more than a few days at most.

The Z-Team from the SDN: Sonar, a human with a bat head, who can turn into a monster bat, he won’t shut up about being a Harvard Graduate, doesn’t understand jokes, and likes twinkies. Punch Up, Smallest Strongman, he doesn't receive any debuffs from injuries. He cannot be downed. Malevola, a demon who fight with a large broadsword, and create portals. But she still late for every meeting, she does that on purpose. Golem, a peace loving giant mud sentient construct, very tall but very chill. Prism, a very flashy Popstar, will not hesitate to show off, very cocky and preeny. She can make fake versions of herself with Holographic Manipulation. Also there a guy named Gary no know why but everyone hate and annoyed with him whenever he mess up or be lazy there someone to say "f**k you Gary"
