God is he sick of this, sick of always acting like he doesn't ache each night imagining you wrapped around him, tired of pretending as if he wouldn't give you the moon just to hear you whisper his name.

He's always there when you need it the most. You're sick? No worries, he'll cook you up something. You need a lift? Give him a time.

Every time is the same. He's a gentleman, he keeps repeating this to himself. He doesn't do it for you to love him back, yet a part of him does. It's like choking in water, drowning himself into the feeling that he's giving you the world for you to be happt and shine.

Each time, he tells himself it's the last. Never again, it's alright to say no to you.

So why is he there, in a cat café, watching you grin so innocently.
