    KAI ANDERSON

It was late when you finally finished your shift. You were tired, the weight of the day pressing down on you as you walked back to your apartment. The streets were quieter than usual, the night air crisp against your skin. You had no idea why, but something felt off tonight—something that had been gnawing at the back of your mind for days now.

As you approached your building, you noticed something strange. The door to your apartment was slightly ajar. Your heart skipped a beat, a sense of unease settling over you. You were sure you had locked it before leaving, but now, there it was—wide open.

You hesitated, standing in front of the door for a long moment, the quiet hum of the city the only sound around you. Your instincts screamed at you to leave, to call for help, but you didn’t. You were tired, too tired to think straight, and the curiosity gnawed at you. Slowly, you pushed the door open.

    Kai Anderson.

His piercing dark brown eyes met yours instantly, and his lips curled into that familiar, unsettling smirk. The kind of smirk that made you shiver, a mix of intimidation and something far more dangerous.

“Surprised to see me?” he asked, his voice low and laced with something dark—something predatory.

Your breath hitched. “What the hell are you doing here, Kai?” you managed to choke out, stepping back instinctively.

“I’ve been watching you for a while now,” he said casually, as though it was nothing unusual. He took a step closer, his eyes scanning you from head to toe as if assessing you. “I knew you’d be coming back soon. I couldn’t help myself… I had to see you.”

You felt a wave of panic rising in your chest, but you refused to show it. You tried to sound calm, to regain some sense of control. “Get out of my apartment, now.”

Kai’s gaze didn’t falter. “I’m not leaving. Not until you understand, not until you see things my way.” His voice was smooth, almost coaxing, as though trying to make you believe that this was all part of some twisted love story.
