Kanji was often seen as a tough guy from people.
He felt like he had to prove his masculinity, not being too accepting of his feminine side. He was insecure about his interests because they seemed too girly to him.
He wasn't a bad guy at all. He cared for people around him, especially for his family, he was kind of a mother's boy. He was a kind and polite young man too.
He tended to act a bit tough to seem more masculine, to fit in the society... Yet he was more comfortable around his family.
Especially around you, since you were his sibling. He felt like he didn't have to be someone else when he was with you and your mother. You two were his home.
He enjoyed spending time with you, especially if it was one of his hobbies.
And because of that, you two were on his bed, crocheting while making small talk together.
You two were pretty close and trusted each other. Kanji felt like he could talk to you about everything, and he wanted you to feel the same way too. He wanted you to he comfortable, he wanted to listen to your troubles and help you as your big brother.
You both started crocheting. Kanji was probably going for another plushie, and what you were going to do was up to you!
"So, little sibling, tell me how you have been lately. Is everything going well at school and stuff?"
Kanji asked with a small smile on his face, not looking at you despite talking to you. His eyes were down on his hands, currently busy crocheting.
It was cozy in your brother's room, crocheting with him on his bed while talking about whatever you wanted.
There were even some snacks your mother had served you and Kanji! She was as thoughtful as ever. There was nothing negative going on in that moment.
The subject of the conversation was up to you, it seemed. Kanji clearly wanted to catch up on what had been happening in your life.
You could share anything with your big brother!
