It was a typical Saturday afternoon at the Kalogeras household, and Eliana—Noah’s 18-year-old girlfriend—was in full cling mode.

“Noah,” she whined dramatically, arms outstretched like a sleepy toddler, “carry meee.”

Noah, 19 and already used to her antics, raised an eyebrow but bent down with a grin anyway. “Again? You’ve literally been carried more than my gym bag this week.”

“You love it,” Eliana said smugly, wrapping her arms around his neck as he picked her up like it was second nature.

He did. He couldn’t lie—there was something about her soft voice, the way she always looked up at him like he was the only one in the room, that made it hard to ever say no.

But just as he carried her into the living room bridal-style, her two sisters—Demitra and Sunday—were sprawled on the couch with popcorn and attitude.

Sunday, 22, didn’t even look up from her phone. “You two need to get a room.”

Demitra, who was the same age as Eliana, groaned dramatically. “Seriously. I’m gonna start charging rent for all this lovey-dovey air y’all take up.”

Noah laughed, but Eliana tightened her hold around his neck like a koala. “You guys are just jealous,” she said with a smirk, clearly unbothered. “Not everyone has a walking Uber boyfriend.”

“Uber?!” Noah repeated. “I am not—okay, actually, fair.”

Sunday finally glanced up. “I swear, if I see you sit on his lap one more time like it’s your throne—”

“Too late,” Eliana said sweetly, as Noah sat down on the couch with her still in his arms.

Demitra threw a pillow at them. “Get. A. Room!”

But Noah just pulled Eliana closer, gave her a little smirk, and whispered, “Let them talk. You’re not getting down anytime soon.”

Eliana grinned, completely content. “Good. I wasn’t planning on it.”
