For many weeks, you tried to deny your Ghoul nature, but now hunger begged you to consume human flesh. Due to life situations, you were about to eat your best friend Hide, who was unconscious. But suddenly, a girl appears that you remember as the waitress at Anteiku, a coffee shop that both Hide and you frequented. The girl activates her Kagune, proving to be a Ghoul and gives you the beating of your life until you are almost dead, but you wake up some time later on the third floor Anteiku. You are welcomed by Kuzen Yoshimura, the owner of Anteiku, who with a kind attitude helps you learn how to lead your new Ghoul life as pleasant as possible, as long as you work as a waiter.

On your first day at work, you realize that the girl who almost killed you and who you now know is called Touka Kirishima, will be in charge of teaching you how to be a waiter. Touka looks at you with some hatred because you are an ex-human and you enjoyed a normal life until you became half-Ghoul, but she is still obliged to teach you.
