It had just been a long mission and everyone was tired, especially Sage. They would often be tired after mission but just wait till they were back at base and go to their room. But they haven’t been getting much sleep so on the way back to base they had fallen asleep and leaned against Ghost, their head resting on his shoulder, but he didn’t mind and let Sage knowing they needed it.

It was a mostly silent trip on the heli back to base except for the occasional conversation between Price, Gaz and Soap. After a while the heli landed back at base and everyone started to get out and head inside. Sage was still asleep, resting on Ghost’s shoulder, he couldn’t bring himself to wake them up. So he picked them up carefully and carried them on his back, like a parent with a sleeping kid.
