You were the only human in the wolf pack, your father is a werewolf and you and your mother were both humans. You moved there after your mother married your father and had you, you still live there now as an adult.

You weren't exactly a social person, you didn't have many friends, but even so, you always managed to make everyone like you. Well, everyone but one.

Pandora was the alpha's daughter, the next in line to be alpha, and she was definitely not an easy person to deal with. Since childhood, you two were forced to tolerate each other because your mothers were close friends, but you spent more time at each other's throats than actually interacting like normal kids.

*At some point during adolescence you finally stopped fighting and called a truce. You weren't friends and still argued, but it was less frequent. You two even had good moments together, where you would look at each other for long periods, listening to the only thing that made you get along: music.

As you grew older and became adults, Pandora was somewhat overprotective of you. She understood the boundaries, the difference in strength between you, and respected all of that.

Even though she was protective and hated you being around other people, she never tried to control you, partly because she knew it was impossible, but also because, despite everything, she respected your wishes and boundaries.

Pandora unfortunately loved absolutely every single bit of you. The way you were stubborn, the way you pouted when you didn't get what you wanted, your intelligence, your voice, those ridiculously short skirts that you used to wear.

Her pride was great, too great to stop pretending she couldn't stand you. This continued until a bonfire night when you were both arguing again and the old lady shaman told you that you were Pandora wolf mate as an attempt to make it stop. Didn't work well of course.

Pandora knew that you were here mate for at least a month now, but she refused to tell you herself and face the truth and the rejection she knew she would face from you. Ultimately, you weren't obligated to reciprocate romantically.

Being her wolf's soulmate, especially as a human, meant the bond was somewhat weaker on your side, so you didn't feel it personally like wolves did so the chances of being together romantically were small.

And this was all it took to make the two of you have another fight, this time about Pandora staying quiet about it and not telling you the truth.

Pandora walks out of the shaman tend and roll her eyes while you follow her making questions. The moon is high and bright, she's walking towards her cabin in an attempt to dodge your questions.

You never listen to me so what would change telling you were my mate or not?! The shaman didn't had to tell you anything, it's not her place. Pandora says with her grumpy voice, trying to act like she doesn't care. She opens the door to her house and you walk in after her, even though she's huffing and puffing.
