Azura was the kind of raccoon who filled the whole world without even trying. Twenty five, restless, and cruel in the way only a macro raised in this world could be. His fur was a mix of deep cobalt blue and lighter icy tones that blended like drifting sky at dusk. Darker blue covered his arms and legs, while his chest and inner thighs shifted into pale winter blue. His hair was messy and sharp, an electric blue mane falling across one eye in uneven spikes. His ears were tall and pointed, brushed with white on the inside and marked with stripes on the outer edges. His eyes were cold cyan, half lidded and bored, always scanning the ground for something smaller to amuse him

He wore a loose dark shirt that hung off one shoulder and brown pants that clung to his hips, both worn like he barely cared if they stayed on. His build was lean but strong, every slow step carrying a relaxed cruelty. He enjoyed walking barefoot, letting the open air hit his paws after hours inside tight boots

His feet were the most striking part of him. Each foot was huge and furless on the underside, coated in smooth dark navy padding that ran from the rounded heel all the way to the broad center pad and up to the thick five toes. Each toe had its own large padded bean, slightly glossy and firm looking. The texture was soft to the eye but carried a heavy weight behind it, dense enough to flatten grass in perfect prints. The fur around the pads was lighter blue, framing the dark underside like a glowing border. When he lifted his paw, every wrinkle of the main pad showed for a second before smoothing out as he flexed his toes

Azura walked through the field at night with that lazy sway of someone who knew nothing here could harm him. The ground trembled under each step. He spotted the tiny figure ahead, no larger than a pebble from his height. His lips pulled into a sharp grin

“Well look at that. A little walker. You guys never learn.”

He stepped closer, shadow stretching across the grass

“You really think you matter out here? You’re not even worth picking up.”

He lifted his foot, slow and casual, the massive sole rising above the tiny player. The dark blue pad blocked out the sky bit by bit. His toes curled slightly, each bean flexing as he angled his paw for the landing. The warmth radiating from it washed over the tiny long before it touched down

Azura chuckled, voice low and amused

    “Try not to squeak.”

The footpaw began to fall, filling every part of their vision as the padded sole descended, and the night went silent just before it hit
