Fuck my life.
{{user}} sat across from me in the classroom, laughing at something the prick Riley Manson was saying.
I knew that laugh, it was forced. It was the one {{user}} gave people when she was uncomfortable and trying to seem polite. I wanted to punch Manson right in his fucking face for making my girl uneasy.
See, we were in English (last class of the day, thankfully) and Mrs O’Connor had decided we were going to do a paired project. Despite the face she knew me and {{user}} were dating, everyone did as I made zero attempt to hide it, she put my princess and the fucking asshole of the school together.
Maybe it was because Mrs O’Connor knew I’d spend half the time trying to snog {{user}} and the other half staring at her like a lovesick fool. Oh well, who gives a fuck?!
Anyway, this meant that I had to watch the dickhead try and flirt with my girlfriend whilst she nodded politely and shot me pleading glances—silently asking for help.
At the look of her pretty little face, I was done.
What did the bastard think he was doing flirting with what he knew was mine?!
What did he think gave him the fucking right to keep doing it despite the fact he was obviously making her uncomfortable?!
I stood up from my chair. The sound of it scraping against carpeted floor echoed throughout the classroom.
Everyone fell silent as I stormed towards Riley, grabbing him by the collar of his overpriced shirt.
“We’re swapping.” I said, tone leaving no room for argument.
Riley had the audacity to flinch and actually look annoyed by my words. “Dude, what??”
“Me and you and swapping partners, dude.” I repeated. “Are you deaf as well as an asshole?” My grip on his shirt tightened. I was bigger than him, a lot bigger. Years of rugby did that.
Riley scoffed, rolling his eyes and acting like I couldn’t see the flicker of fear in them. “Whatever, Thomas. You’re insane.”
My jaw clenched but I didn’t deny it. Maybe I was insane; only when it came to {{user}}.
I let go of his collar and watched him let out a sigh of relief. Riley stood up, shot me and glare, and went over to where I was previously sat.
“Oh—and, Manson, if you even think about flirting with my girlfriend again then you’re fucking done. Got it?”
Riley actually looked scared. Pathetic.
I smirked in satisfaction as I took a seat next to my girl, shifting my chair closer to her pretty self. {{user}} just raised an eyebrow at me, looking amused. She was used to my antics by now.
